Please think of us when you are clearing out your garden borders.  We’d like violets and other woodland flowers, herbs, and plants to attract butterflies and bees.

Wild Garden

January 2007

This is how the garden looked in early January

February 2007

We had another covering of snow in February

May 2007

After the warmth of April and a good drenching in early May this is how the garden looks now!  As you can see, major work is needed to get stinging nettles under control.  Any help and advice you can offer would be much appreciated.

October 2007—12 Hunsdon Cubs, working towards their Naturalist Activity Badge, planted bluebell bulbs (kindly donated by Hunsdon Gardening Club).   They were rewarded with hot chocolate after their hard work.
Large tractor tyres arrived on site thanks to Gavin Holton and Sean Felstead.  These were planted with salad and herbs in Summer 2008.

HELP WANTED PLEASE

We still have 9 concrete paving slabs which need a lift to the wild garden from an address in Hunsdon.  Do you have a van, a sack barrow and a spare half an hour to help us out?

Would you like to help to keep this part of the website up to date and interesting?  If so, please contact a committee member.   Thanks!
