Friends of Hunsdon School

About Us

 

Friends of Hunsdon School is a group of parents who volunteer their time to assist the school in a variety of ways. 

Our aim is to raise money for the school to help enable our children to grow up and be educated in a happy, well-equipped learning environment—and to have fun whilst doing so! We help to provide facilities not normally funded by the Local Education Authority, and support the school in a variety of practical ways as needed.

We are always looking for new ideas and committee members, and would love to hear from anyone who is interested in getting involved.

Even if you only have an odd hour to spare every so often, we would welcome your support. Your talents will influence your child’s learning experience, and you get a chance to make new friends, put your skills to good use and develop new ones.

All parents and carers of pupils at Hunsdon JMI are automatically members of the Friends association. 

Helping Friends doesn’t have to mean attending meetings.

 

You could:

· Help set up or run a stall at a fundraiser

· Serve refreshments

· Keep stallholders refreshed with tea

· Make cakes, cookies, chutneys or jam

· Join the Raffle Sub-Committee to gather prizes and fold raffle tickets

· Donate plants, take cuttings or help tend the Wild Garden

· Help collate and prepare content for this site

· Be our official events photographer

· Promote Friends events at your place of work

· Help to find new stallholders and organise them on the day
